For the first time since 2019, over 50 resident artists are opening their studio doors to the public. Visitors can meet our artists, buy art and find out about our resident artist’s practices across ceramics, painting, film, illustration, design, fashion, photography, music and more.
Open Studios will see the return of the butterfly trail with great prizes for kids of all ages as well as an Art Raffle, with a £500 voucher to purchase or commission work by our artists as the main prize.
Gaunson House car park will present Art in The Yard with outdoor art installations, murals and film screenings by our resident artists.
On Saturday and Sunday the yard will see a live painting performance by resident artist Steve Folk. Children can get their face painted by MangoZooKidz and creative craft workshops by Sian Dorman and a team of assistants.
Throughout the weekend there’ll be drinks and live DJs playing chill-out music.

A fun workshop focusing on some of the fundamental ingredients of music such as rhythm and pulse, imitation of patterns, pitched instrument, singing, and a little bit of music theory. The aim of the workshop is to enhance listening skills, teamwork, understanding of pulse and rhythm.
The workshop is open for all age groups. All children to be accompanied by adults. All participants will be taking part in form of using your hands and voice and instruments.
The workshop will focus on the following:
– Listening skills – Ability to work together as a team – An understanding of how different musical elements work together – An understanding of pulse and rhythm – An introduction to a pitched instrument – An introduction to looping – Singing, self-expression, creativity, music and fun

A talk discussing the importance of artist representation within certain creative industries including photography and fashion, how having an agent representing your work works for creatives and the benefits of having an agent.

Sunday night is a celebration of Craving’s 8th birthday, with performances from our friends Backyard Bully, Lux Jury, Ben Murphie & Island Fox; showcasing an eclectic mix of local talent.
The Craving bar will be open and food will be available from Walthamstow Dogs and Latty’s kitchen. Come join the party!
