They use a series of gamified listening exercises to explore various aspects of sound – whether that’s proximity (how far or close a sound is), timbre (the tonality and type of sound), or volume (how loud or quiet a sound is).

Children are given access to specially constructed soundboxes, transducers and other sound-generating devices to explore how sound travels through various materials and objects, and how people experience sound differently.

Delivered by Modus Arts.
Modus Arts draw on interdisciplinary and collaborative approaches to developing public-facing sound-based artworks and events. In 2023 they became a National Portfolio Organisation with Arts Council England.

Are you an artist or creative wanting to do more to combat climate change? Then join us for the launch of The Tottenham Creative Climate Collaborative (TC³).  TC³ are a group of creatives working with and empowering communities to save our planet.

Whilst we are slowly getting better at decarbonising industries we are failing to engage the people they serve, our communities. We are failing to effectively spread the all important message that we all need to act FAST on climate change if we are going to survive as a species. It’s a complex message, and one that can leave people feeling disempowered, fearful and confused. Creativity holds the key.

Artists and creatives hold the power to connect, influence and inspire. Working with artists and creatives TC³ will run free workshops for communities, getting people to engage with our planet using our senses and creative minds. TC³ will be working with communities, empowering them to undertake 7 Simple Acts that will literally save the world!

The panel will be hosted by Jonny Groome, a doctor who has spent the last 10 years working on combating climate change.
He will be joined by the team from Real Zero, a non-profit organisation dedicated to catalysing social and economic change, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions at the pace and scale required.

Also on the panel will be members of our creative community here in Tottenham who will help us to explore how artists and creatives can quite literally save the planet.

Panellist:

Romany Taylor, Snooze Fabric
Wayne Murray, Snooze Fabric
Jon Davies, Wild City
Steve Williams, Wild City

6pm – 7pm
The Cove Studio, 50-58 Markfield Rd, London N15 4QF

In an era where digital platforms dominate the music industry, maintaining authenticity while achieving success is a challenge faced by not just artists but also producers, promoters, DJs, venues, and industry professionals. This panel will explore how all stakeholders in the music ecosystem can thrive in a landscape driven by streaming metrics, social media visibility, and global trends. We’ll discuss the effect of lasting digital footprints on the spontaneity of music, the role of local sounds in shaping global music trends, and the pressure of public statistics like views, streams, and followers. The conversation will provide strategies for industry professionals to foster authentic musical experiences, leverage data without compromising creativity, and support artists in a way that benefits the entire music community. This session aims to equip all participants with the tools to navigate the complexities of the modern music industry while preserving the essence of what makes music powerful and unifying.
